The fourth edition of the LPGA-sanctioned Lexus Cup women's golf tournament returns (after being staged in Australia last year) to Singapore between Friday 28 - Sunday 30 November 2008. Previously hosted in 2005 and 2006 at the Tanah Merah Country Club, this year's venue is the Singapore Island Country Club, with bigger prize money of USD 1 million. The tournament, which features 12 players on each Asia-versus-the-world team, is played under foursomes, fourballs and singles format; players earn berths through rankings or the official LPGA money list, with the captains also having special picks. Team Asia and Team International will be captained respectively by Pak Se-ri and Annika Sorenstam (who will retire from competitive golf at the end of the season).
